According to the work plan to export avocados to the United States of America, it was established that all packers and exporters from Mexico must have certification and registration as packers. For this purpose, SAGARPA annually verifies the facilities and ensures that the controls are adequate to carry out packing operations following the specifications established by the plan itself.

At Mexfrut, with the interest of achieving the shipment of safe products for the final consumer, we have implemented this system to reduce the possibility of contamination.

What is the Contamination Risk Reduction System (SRRC)?

These are measures and procedures established voluntarily by SAGARPA to ensure that goods of agricultural, livestock, aquaculture and fishing origin are produced and processed under hygienic conditions, and to reduce the risks of physical, chemical and microbiological contamination through the application of Good Handling Practices.

At Mexfrut, we have GLOBALG.A.P. certification for Mango, Papaya, Grapefruit and Avocado, which is fundamental for the chain of custody for all producers and retailers handling GLOBALG.A.P. certified products. It also provides a high degree of transparency and integrity, adding value to your product and brand in the market and providing an additional guarantee for your customers.

What is GLOBALG.A.P. Certification?

GLOBALG.A.P. is a set of internationally recognized agricultural standards dedicated to Good Agricultural Practices. Through certification, producers demonstrate their adherence to GLOBALG.A.P. Standards.

For consumers and distributors, the GLOBALG.A.P. certificate is the assurance that food reaches acceptable levels of safety and quality, and has been produced sustainably, respecting the health, safety and well-being of workers, the environment, and considering animal welfare issues.

Organic fruit packing refers to agricultural products, free of chemical and/or synthetic products, in a sustainable and environmentally friendly scheme. Certifications with which Mexfrut endorses that the packing process complies with the regulations of the most important organic regulations of the following countries:

USA: It is regulated by a federal law, which was established since 2001, which is recognized with the abbreviation NOP (National Organic Program) and officiated by the (United States Department of Agriculture) of the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture)

EUROPE: Which is regulated by Reg. 834/2007 - Reg. 889/2008 and as a company where we pack organic avocado, we have the duty to comply with these regulations.

CANADA: For the conditioning of organic avocado to be exported to Canada, the regulation we follow is an equivalence between the United States and Canada, which is known as NOP-COR equivalence, which came into force in 2009.

Certification for agricultural, livestock and wild collection products under USDA/NOP standards for the US market. This certificate is necessary for clients who want to export their production to the United States, even if they have certificates for other countries.

In the granting of this certificate, ICEA guarantees the positive result of the inspection and documentary evaluation related to the certified company, and determines that the mentioned products are organically produced and/or processed in accordance with the NOP/USDA regulation and related regulations. The controlled company accepts that the certificate guarantees the maintenance of full compliance with the NOP/USDA regulation and related regulations.
